Ribbons for First, Second, Third will be awarded in the 16 categories described below. Honorable Mention ribbons will be awarded at the judge’s discretion. All entries must meet the definition of quilt: a top and backing stitched together.

Bed:
Quilt intended for use on a bed or as a covering for a person (i.e. twin, double, queen, king-sized quilts, lap quilts, throws, crib quilts, baby quilts, bassinette quilts.
Large: Width 60” to 110” Small: Width: Less than 60” Pieced: Predominately pieced (more than half) Appliqued: Predominately appliquéd (more than half)
Mixed: Fairly equal amounts of more than one technique (i.e. piecing, appliqué, etc.)
Collaborative: Quilt top made by one person and quilted by another person. Must give credit to the quilter and it will be judged as such. Wall: Quilt intended for display on a wall, decorative rather than functional in nature. Has a focal point. Any size Pieced Appliqued Mixed Collaborative Group: Quilt made by more than two persons. Examples include round robin quilts, Bee group quilts, block exchanges. Any size.
Miniature: 96” maximum perimeter measurement. This must be a scaled-down version of a larger pattern and may not be just one block.
Alternative Techniques: Quilt created using techniques other than piecing or appliqué. Examples include cathedral window, yo-yo, whole cloth, crazy quilts, chenille, stenciled, cross-stitch, embroidery, digital imaging, thread painting, etc. Any size.
Other: Quilted items such as table runners, placemats, Christmas stockings, tree skirts, tote bags, purses, pillows, etc.
