Bed: Quilt intended for use on a bed.
Small bed quilt may be a lap quilt.

Large: Width 60” to 110”; length 80” or more
|
Small: Width less than 60”; length 40” or more
|
|
Pieced: Predominately pieced
|
Appliqued: Predominately appliqued
|
Mixed: Fairly equal amounts of more than one technique (i.e. piecing, applique, trapunto, etc.)
|
|
Collaborative: Quilt top made by one person and quilted by another person
|
|
Whole Cloth: a quilt where the top is made from one single, large piece of fabric.
|
|
Miniature: 80 inches maximum perimeter measurement. This must be a scaled-down version of a larger pattern and may not be just one block.
|
|
Group: Quilt made by more than two persons
|
|
Wearables/Home Décor: Miscellaneous quilted articles: these can be a variety of techniques. Examples: table runners, placemats, Christmas stockings, tree skirts, tote bags, purses, pillows, etc.

|
Other: Quilts created using techniques other than piecing or applique such as: crazy quilts, cathedral window, chenille, stenciling, thread painting, etc.

Note: All entries must meet the definition of quilt: a top and backing stitched together
Quilt Show Rules
1. Quilt must have been completed within the years 2001-2008 and be constructed/ quilted by person(s) named on registration form. A completed registration form must accompany each entry.
2. A quilter MAY enter a quilt(s) that she/he made prior to becoming a member of Piecemakers Quilt Guild.
3. Each entry must have a fabric I.D. label with the maker’s name legibly written in permanent ink on the back of the quilt or inside a wearable.
4. Each entry must be accompanied by a color photograph for insurance purposes.
5. Entry fee of $6 per item (non-refundable) to be judged and $5 per non-judged item, MUST accompany registration form. Make checks payable to Piecemakers Quilt Guild.
6. Quilts containing both pieced and appliqué should be entered in the Mixed Techniques category.
7. Limit is one quilt per category per person, with the exception of the Challenge category.
8. Entered quilts must be complete, clean and undamaged to qualify for exhibit.
9. Entries must be available for judging and display from October 1-11, 2008.
10. Contest entry implies consent to photograph quilt for use in event-related publications and publicity.
11. Ribbons will be awarded to the entrant for Best of Show, Best Hand-quilting, Best Machine-quilting and Viewer’s Choice, in additional to first, second and third place in each judged category. Honorable mention ribbons will be awarded at the judge’s discretion. All ribbons may not be awarded if this is the judge’s decision.
12. Each quilt is to be given a title by the entrant.
Registration guidelines will be finalized and distributed at a later date.
